Lady Gaga has revealed that she avoids having sex for fear that someone could steal her ”creativity”.
The eccentric singer, 24, who recently reunited with her ex Luc Carl, says she is trying to avoid sex for a rather off-beat reason.
“I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they”re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina,” the New York Daily News quoted her as telling Vanity Fair magazine.
And despite her legion of devoted fans, Gaga admits that she”s “perpetually lonely.”
“I”m lonely when I”m in relationships. It”s my condition as an artist,” she says. “I”m drawn to bad romances. And my song [‘Bad Romance’] is about whether I go after those [sort of relationships] or if they find me. I”m quite celibate now; I don”t really get time to meet anyone,” she added.
Tom Mankiewicz, the screenwriter of James Bond movies, has died aged 68.
Mankiewicz passed away at his home after battling cancer. He underwent the Whipple operation, which is used to treat pancreatic cancer, three months ago.
The cause of the death was not immediately known.
Mankiewicz directed the 1987 movie ‘Dragnet’, starring Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks, and several episodes of the TV series ‘Hart to Hart.’
His cousin, Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz, said that Tom was in good spirits when they had lunch a week ago and was planning to Chapman University in Orange, California this fall, where he taught filmmaking to graduate students.
“He was hopeful. He left lunch in a very good mood. He told stories about John Wayne and Michael Curtiz, and how he was going to get me to appreciate John Ford’s ‘The Searchers’ more,” The Telegraph quoted Mankiewicz as saying.
Legendary pop singer Michael Jackson’s first of the several new albums are due for release in November 2010, almost a year and a half after the singer died in June 2009.
The late King of Pop’s posthumous album features 10 never-before-heard songs from the King of Pop.
The album will be the first in a 10-project, seven-year deal worth 250 million dollars that Jackson estate executors signed with Sony Music bosses in March, a spokesperson for the estate confirmed.
Jackson left behind hard drives filled with previously unreleased music, with his former manager Frank DiLeo estimating Jackson”s vaults contain more than 100 completed and unreleased songs, including collaborations with Akon, will.i.am and Ne-Yo, reports The Daily Telegraph.
The tracks are expected to be included in the forthcoming release, alongside songs Jackson recorded at the peak of his career in the 1980s.
“There are a couple of songs we recorded for the Bad album that we had to cut that are just sensational,” DiLeo told RollingStone.com
Ewan McGregor has said that living in Los Angeles is like a breath of fresh air, compared to London.
The Scottish actor is settled in America with his French wife Eve Mavrakis and their two daughters Clara Mathilde and Esther Rose.
“I have a lot more freedom in LA than when I was in London,” The Daily Express quoted the 39-year-old as saying.
“People leave me alone here and I don’t get mobbed every time that I step outside the door. It was much harder when I lived in London,” he said.
“It’s not a depressing city but I felt that liberty was being eaten away – you can’t go out without being on security cameras.
“I have a different relationship with the place now. I don’t live there so I enjoy going back,” added McGregor.
Cheryl Cole has changed her name to Lily English after fleeing to US to record tracks for her second album.
Cole, 27, checked into the plush London Hotel in Los Angeles under the alias of Miss English, to avoid attention as she continues to recover from malaria.
Despite doctors ordering the Girls Aloud singer to rest up following her battle with the potentially fatal bug, the X Factor judge has told friends she’s determined to get back to work.
“Cheryl is going under the name of Lily English while she’s in LA. She hates using her surname of Cole,” the Daily Star quoted a friend as saying.
“It’s not a permanent name change but you never know – if she does like it she might stick with Lily English!” friend added.
Although Daniel Radcliffe is getting nostalgic over the end of the Harry Potter series, he has something else to look forward to—a horror flick.
Radcliffe will be seen in a horror film—‘The Woman In Black’—being made by the classic Hammer British franchise.
The last day of filming with Potter pals Emma Watson and Rupert Grint was quite tearful, said Radcliffe.
“We just wept,” The Daily Star quoted Potter as saying.
Shakira has launched her new fragrance, ‘S by Shakira’, which she claims to be as unique as her own songs.
Shakira, the newest addition to Hollywood’s roster of celebrity perfumers, has bottled her famous sex appeal for her new fragrance.
“The type of women who feel a connection with this fragrance would be independent and strong, but also a woman with a great capacity to love and a strong sense of who they are. It’s for a woman who believes in herself,” People quoted her as saying.
The Grammy Award winner has collaborated with Puig to explore her delicate side with a scent that exudes simplicity, sensuality and self.
The fragrance’s signature notes are bright jasmine, sandalwood and an oriental dream housed in a luminous bottle that evokes an oriental dancer.
“Like one of my songs, I wanted S by Shakira to tell a story, and to be something personal and unique. A perfume has to really reflect something inside you, make you connect with it in an emotional way,” she added.
‘S by Shakira’ will hit shelves in September, with prices ranging from 17 dollars to 35 dollars.
But from the sound of it, Shakira is looking for a cadre of hit scents to join her platinum records, exclaiming, “S by Shakira is only the beginning!”
