The Bollywood damsel Katrina Kaif who did not have airs but wasn’t even kind to those who interacted with her has started changing colors after having several hits in her basket.
According to the Bollywood buzz, she has apparently started using her star power. After having signed up a luxury designer brand and receiving a whooping amount too, she now has special demands for the ad shoot.
She wants to work with her own stylist, make-up artist and insists that they should accompany her to Paris where she would shoot in a particular hotel and will stay there as well.
The brand mangers are surely having a tough time.
We hope its not Salman’s brain working from behind as Katrina can certainly not afford to follow him.
Katrina Kaif honestly admitted that she was bullied highly by Neil Mukesh and John Abraham, her co-stars in ‘New York’ while shooting for the film.
Whatever Katrina did, John and Neil left no stone unturned to make fun of her. The actress got candid with Renuka Vyavahare on her film New York, John Abraham and last but not the least Salman Khan.
Katrina plays Maya in the film who is an NRI studying in a college in New York and apparently loves her college life a lot. She has two very good friends and that is all about her life.
“I was very awkward on the first day of the shoot as it was not like shooting for ‘Singh is King’ or ‘Partner’ where you have dancers behind you. I felt very close to my character Maya, its an amazing journey and I want to thank Adi and Kabir for trusting me and giving me an opportunity to prove my talent”, Katrina says.
For this film, the actress maintained a natural look and is happy to play a girl of her age. The actress also reveals that since she started working very early so she has never had the chance to go to college and this is another reason why she loves this film as it gave her the feel of going to college.
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif plays an NRI girl in her upcoming film ‘New York’. The actress empathizes with her character in the film as she has also faced similar type of isolation due to her skin color while she was growing up in London.
The film made her remember her college days in London which she had to spend in constant consciousness of her racial identity.
But in India, the 24-year old beauty has been voted as the sexiest Asian woman for two consecutive years.
“When I was in college in London that had a lot of Asians, I was always very aware of the colour of my skin, that I was an Asian. There was this certain kind of segregation in
the college,” Katrina revealed.
“This is some seven or eight years ago, I think it does go on,” Katrina said.
And it is because of this personal experience of hers, she feels that she can closely relate to the character in the film.
“Omar (played by Neil Nitin Mukesh) is a character who comes from India, my and Sam`s character (played by John Abraham) are already kind of friends in the college. There is a certain kind of gelling together because they all are coming from the same place,” Katrina said.
Pretty occupied, Katrina Kaif recently came to the capital city Delhi to promote her film ‘New York’. The film is all set to release this Friday all across India.
During her visit, the actress reveals that her experience of ‘New York’ was altogether different one. The film was like a wonderful challenge for the actress.
“It is the film closest to my heart because it is the first film that I have been able to relate to. My character in the film is the real `me`. This personally has been a journey for me. When I came for the shoot on the first day, I remember thinking “Why have I come here?” From then on, to shooting the film, to finding myself, I have already got so much out of it”, says the actress.
Talking about her co-stars Neil and John, actress says that their chemistry is being liked by everyone as can be seen in the song ‘Yaaron’
Katrina not being able to speak Hindi has become an old thing now. Of late, the actress has been practicing so much while dubbing and with friends that she has almost lost her voice while dubbing for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
Raj Kumar Santoshi has always been known for his priority about proper language and has therefore personally supervised the dubbing as Ranbir has a lot of colloquial Hindi to speak in this film.
But for Katrina Kaif, the most difficult bit of a film is the dubbing part.
Despite of her thick British accent, she has won the right to speak on screen. And now, she is apparently suffering from the worst tribulation of her brief career.
”I don’t have any colloquial lines like Ranbir. I play this Catholic Bandra girl who’s very dramatic. She’s funny to others. But not to herself. So, when I cry, I have to cry real tears but make sure they come across as funny. First of all, the lines are not comic in the dubbing theatre. So, I’ve to recreate the laughter of the sets in a studio without knowing if I am being funny enough”, Katrina says.
According to latest Bollywood buzz, while shooting for the climax of their forthcoming film, John Abraham and Katrina Kaif were involved in some arguments.
One of the unit member reveals that the scene was very difficult to co-ordinate and John’s remarks on the set irritated Katrina even further.
The two got into a major argument and the shoot had to be called off.
Shoot was called off by Kabir Khan because of the bad weather but that anyways helped.
Till the next day Katrina had cooled down and the shooting resumed.
After making a mark for her stunning looks in Bollywood, actress Katrina Kaif says that she would never do a film for money.
The actress says that she sometimes feels that she needs the money being offered to do a particular film. The 24-year old actress has a family of seven sisters to support.
“I am in a panic situation. But, If I succumb to such pressures, I know the audience will not respect me,” said Katrina.
Katrina made her debut in Bollywood with box-office disaster Boom but has not looked back since finding success with Akshay Kumar starrer Namaste London.
Katrina, while looking back at her career says that her journey in the industry till now has been a great learning experience for her.
