Actress Katherine Heigl is using an electronic cigarette to beat her smoking addiction.

The 34-year-old star has fought with her addiction to tobacco since she was 24 years old, but vowed to kick the butt last year (09) after she admitted of becoming “a slave” to her habit.

Heigl was also pushed to stop smoking after adopting daughter Naleigh in September (09).

However, she hasn”t completely snubbed her dependency on nicotine and was pictured puffing on an electronic cigarette on the set of her new film ‘One For The Money,’ reports the Daily Star.

The device provides inhaled doses of nicotine through a vaporized solution so users don”t have to take back harmful smoke.

Lady Gaga is planning to buy a new 18-million-pound home.

The ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker is said to be interested in an eight-bed country manor in New York’s posh Hamptons area, reports The Daily Star.

It has a huge swimming pool, a tennis court and access to the sea by horse trail.

If the 24-year-old buys the house, Madonna, 51, would be one of her neighbours

Pink took to Twitter to reassure her fans that she’ll be back in action for upcoming shows following a stage accident.

The 30-year-old star was taken to hospital after crashing into a metal barrier during a show in Nuremberg.

She was supposed to be hoisted up on a trapeze for a dramatic stunt, but wasn’t properly secured.

The songstress used Twitter to reassure her devotees she is fine and later thanked them for their wishes.

She wrote she hopes to be performing on stage for her next gigs in Germany and Russia this weekend.

“Full steam ahead, people. No pain, no gain. Or is it no brain, no pain?” The Daily Star quoted Pink as tweeting.

She added: “Either way, I will be on that stage, even if I have to crawl 🙂

“And a humongous thank you to everyone who sent their love and concern.”

Grammy winner musician Sheryl Crow has contributed towards a CD to raise funds for providing in-school kids yoga programs, according to reports.

Titled “Yoga Revolution”, its other contributing artists include Sarah McLachlan, Sting, Ziggy Marley, Peter Gabriel, Seal, Michael Franti, Krishna Das, Anjelique Kidjo, Guru Singh, Donna De Lory, and Anoushka Shankar.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has applauded the efforts of Crow and other musicians to promote yoga for schoolchildren. In a statement in Nevada (USA) today, he urged other Hollywood and sports celebrities to come forward to help incorporate yoga in the lives of youth and children.

Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, also urged public schools to include yoga in their curriculum. Yoga was a mental and physical discipline whose traces went back to around 2,000 BCE, he pointed out.

Rajan Zed quoted Patanjali, author of the basic text Yoga Sutra, who said that yoga was a methodical effort to attain perfection, through the control of the different elements of human nature, physical and psychical.

The Yoga Revolution CD is reportedly a diverse 14-track mix including Irish folk, rock anthem, bilingual world music, 5,000 year-old Vedic chants over Hip Hop beats, reworked kirtan, etc.

Robbie Williams reuniting with Take That is set to net the band a whopping 75 million pounds from sales and tour dates.

However, Robbie”s record-breaking contract with EMI, which he signed for a reported 80 million pounds in 2002, is still up in October.

And sources believe that he could make even more on a new deal as betting is underway on whether the group will have a Christmas number one.

Multi-national record labels including Universal and Sony have already begun negotiations with Robbie”s management.

“Signing Robbie Williams is the holy grail for labels at the moment,” the Sun quoted an industry source as saying.

“He”s already struck the biggest record deal in history, so whatever he is offered will have to compare favorably to that.

“He could be the first British artist to ever land a £100million deal,” the source added.

David Tennant is the latest name to be linked to the role of ‘The Hulk’ for ‘The Avengers’ movie.

According to sources, the former ‘Doctor Who’ star is up against movie megastars like Joaquin Phoenix and Adrien Brody for role of the angry green comic hero, reports the Sun.

If he gets the 39-year-old Scots actor role, it will make him the second Brit in as many weeks to be given a Hollywood role in a Marvel comic movie.

Andrew Garfield was last week revealed as the new Spider-Man for a movie scheduled for 2012.
