Pop star Kylie Minogue has regretted the fact that she could not convince company bosses to include songs about her cancer battle in her last album ‘X’.
The Aussie superstar was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 and underwent intensive chemotherapy treatment, which caused her to lose her hair.
As soon as the hair grew back, Minogue headed into the studio and spent “insane, emotional” sessions recording with producer pal Biff Stannard.
But label bosses rejected the personal tracks for inclusion on her 2007 album ‘X’ – and Minogue admitted that she’d always regret not convincing them to change their minds.
“As soon as I could get back in the studio, I went with hair not a centimetre long, I ran in there with Biff and we did five days of insane, emotional… the two of us will never forget it,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying Attitude magazine.
“I”d written songs about my experience, my illness, and they didn”t make the album, I even don”t know why. If they just weren”t good enough songs, or the record company didn”t think they were appropriate, I don”t know. So there”s a little regret about that,” she added.
CNN host Larry King has declared that his long-running talk show, ‘Larry King Live, will come to an end this fall.
The show, ‘Larry King Live’, the centrepiece of the CNN prime-time schedule, has had severe decline in the ratings in recent years, which led to speculations that King’s current contract, which expires in June 2011, could be his last.
However, King will stay on at CNN part time, and would host an undetermined number of specials “on major national and international subjects.”
Asked by his guest Bill Maher on his Tuesday night show about the speculation in the media, Mr. King said “that had nothing to do with it.”
King said that he approached CNN management about the change and they “graciously accepted.”
“With this chapter closing, I’m looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders,” the New York Times new quoted him as saying in the blog post.
He also said that, the show was recently recognized by the Guinness World Records as being the longest-running show with the same host in the same time slot since it started in 1985.
Apparently, King is expected to announce a new 9 p.m. program over the summer.
Megan Fox’ rep has confirmed her wedding with Brian Austin Green in Hawaii.
The couple wed in a secret ceremony at the beach paradise on June 27.
The ‘Transformers’ star, 24, got engaged to Green, 36, for a second time in early June during a romantic beach vacation in Hawaii.
And soon after the reports of their engagement, the couple decided to exchange vows at the ‘Four Seasons Hualalai Resort’ on the paradise island, reports The Daily Express.
Fox”s spokesperson accepting the rumours to be true, told People.com: “Yes they are married.”
A source told America”s Star magazine: “They had a fairly large wedding, but there were clearly more security people than guests… They had to call in local security because the hotel security alone wouldn”t do. It was very hush hush. Everyone was sworn to secrecy.
“It seemed like a spur of the moment thing. I don”t think it had been planned long.”
Jennifer Aniston dreams of having a baby and is consulting a life coach for help and advice to make her dream come true.
The former ‘Friends’ star has reportedly been having appointments with life strategist Suzannah Galland to help her make the decision in her life and to tell her the ways of being a mother.
And the first option, according to Suzannah, is ‘adoption.’
“So many of my clients are walking around with a big hole in their hearts if they don’t have a family. Many of them think that because they can’t have a family the traditional way it won’t ever happen to them – they don’t consider other viable means, firstly, adoption,” the News.com.au quoted Suzannah, whose client list includes names like Demi Moore, Naomi Campbell, as saying.
She added: “There are so many children who don’t have parents, or anyone to love them, and so many women who would make amazing mothers. It’s a matter of making them see that there is still a part of themselves that can make motherhood happen.”
The strategist claims she has been working with Aniston, 41, who divorced husband Brad Pitt in 2005, following a five-year marriage and has remained largely single since then, to help her “process her feelings”.
The ‘Bounty Hunter’ star has been craving for motherhood since long and she expressed her desire of having a baby in a recent interview with US magazine Harper’s Bazaar, where she claimed to want a child “as soon as possible.”
Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson has spoken out about the tragic murders of her mother, brother and nephew by her brother-in-law.
Hudson, 28, recently spoke to VH1’s ‘Behind the Music’ about the brutal murder of her family in October 2008 by her brother-in-law, William Balfour.
“It’s all a blur, it was surreal,” the New York Daily News quoted her as telling ‘Behind the Music’.
“It was like I was outside of myself,” she revealed.
She revealed that the tragedy sent her into seclusion for weeks.
“For almost two weeks straight . . . [I was] inside one room with just family and friends coming in and out,” she said.
“I prayed when I’d get up in the morning and prayed before I lay down at night,” she added.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is set to pen a book about the feuds he had with his band mates, which had prompted him to briefly quit the group last year.
Tyler, 62, revealed that tension in the group escalated after he fell off a stage during a South Dakota concert last summer, leaving him with multiple injuries that forced the band to cancel a North American tour with ZZ top.
And while he was recuperating, Tyler announced his plans to take a two-year hiatus, and then abruptly quit the group.
Tyler has since mended his relationship with his band mates and the group is back together and touring the globe, and now he’s keen to reveal all about his tumultuous relationship with his Aerosmith buddies.
“I’m doing a book called Does the Noise in My Head Bother You, and I will be speaking about what it’s like to be married to four other guys, and what I’ve had to put up with,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
“There will never be another band like Aerosmith, and I just don’t want to do anything to hurt that. I love the band so much,” he added.
The book, ‘Does the Noise in My Head Bother You’, is set to hit shelves in October this year.
Kelly Brook apparently ended her relationship with Danny Cipriani because she was tired of all the female fans the rugby player used to attract on their night out.
The stunning model split from the rugby star three weeks ago and told pals the female fan hurling over Cipriani, 22, was too unnerving.
“Danny is a young, good-looking sports star and he couldn’t help women throwing themselves at him. But it got a bit too much for Kelly. It was certainly one of the factors she took into consideration when they both decided to call it a day. She will not miss all that worry for one minute. It was quite relentless,” the Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Kelly’s not stupid. She knows Danny may not have ignored all the girls point-blank but she believes he never slept with anyone.
“However, Danny put himself in unwise situations where women could take advantage, and that was a concern,” the source added.
Cipriani’s spokesman denied the couple ever cheated, insisting he remained friends with Kelly, 30, and their break-up was a mutual decision.
The couple split was made public only after Cipriani was seen flirting at a party with ‘90210’ actress Jessica Lowndes
