Kate WinsletEnglish actress Kate Winslet is reportedly set to star in a US TV mini-series of the 1945 film ‘Mildred Pierce’.

Winslet, 33, is said to be on the verge of signing up for the film, which landed screen legend Joan Crawford an Oscar.

“At 33, Kate would be young to play the mother of a late-teenage daughter but she would be great at nailing the compassion and the hard edges of the role,” the Daily Express quoted a film insider as saying.

Winslet’s last TV role was in 2005, playing a parody of herself in Ricky Gervais’s Extras.


Kendra WilkinsonPlayboy bunnies Bridget Marquardt, Holly Madison, and Kendra Wilkinson were seen in the buff during the filming of ‘The Girls of the Playboy Mansion’.

The three were seen sun bathing on a lilo while filming a scene for the uncensored version of the film, with their derrieres bared for the world to see, reports the Sun.

Even though the three girls have gone their separate ways and moved out of the Playboy Mansion, they are still on good terms with Hugh Hefner.

Wilkinson, 24, even tied the knot with American footballer Hank Baskett at the infamous mansion in June.

The actor and his model wife Emma Heming have been spotted visiting Los Angeles” exclusive Carlyle Residences, a 24-storey building with apartments priced between 2.9 and 15 million dollars, reports the China Daily.

The couple are reportedly looking for a three-bedroom, four-bathroom home with a gym, library, dining room and wine cellar. This may cost them around 5.1 million dollars.

The 54-year-old Willis married Heming in Turks and Caicos in March this year. The marriage was attended by his three daughters, Moore, and Kutcher. The couple got legally wed six days later, in a civil ceremony at Beverly Hills.

Nicole KidmanActress Nicole Kidman is all set to debut on reality TV with a cameo role in the fashion series Project Runway: All-Star Challenge.

The 42-year-old star, famous for her graceful red carpet style, will put up a design contest for eight contestants in a spin-off from the original Project Runway, with all the participants having appeared on the original U.S. show earlier.

Kidman will inaugurate the all-star series today. The event coincides with the debut of the star-studded sixth series of Project Runway, reports Contactmusic.

Hugh JackmanAustralian actor Hugh Jackman has been out and about in New York in the role of a roving reporter to film a documentary investigating fair trade practises.

In the documentary, the Hollywood star turns up unannounced at cafes and restaurants with a camera crew to ask vendors about if they are aware of fair trade practices, reports the Daily Express.

Jackman is hoping to raise awareness for fair trade initiatives, which help struggling workers and farmers become financially stable and self-sufficient.

According to HelloMagazine.com, the actor is looking to answer questions such as “How is it that a kid dies every three seconds from extreme poverty”.
