Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has infuriated management of the St Lucian resort where she is living after she insisted on bringing home flea-ridden stray dogs.
Winehouse, 25, who adopted several stray dogs she found on the beach in St Lucia, has worried resort managers, who have insisted on having her villa cleaned, as they fear the pooches could be carrying diseases.
“Management initially turned a blind eye to what Amy was doing. But she’s adopted about five or six dogs now. They’re all strays without the proper vaccinations and they all have fleas,” Contactmusic quoted a source as telling the Sun.
“The management did not want the risk of any of the fleas infecting any of the other rooms, so they got a firm of fumigators in to blitz Amy’s quarters and told her not to bring any more animals on site,” the source added.

American film director Steven Spielberg and actor Will Smith’s plans to remake cult Korean movie ‘Old Boy’ have been thrown into jeopardy, as the original makers of the 2003 hit are allegedly not authorised to grant a remake.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Spielberg and Smith had recently secured the rights to modernise director Park Chan-Wook’s film from producers Show East.
But Show East filmmakers have found themselves at the centre of a lawsuit from Futabasha bosses, the Japanese publishers of the original manga series, who claim the producers were in no position to negotiate with the Hollywood heavyweights and Universal studios.
Seoul-based Show East has since shut down and its executives have ceased all contact with Futabasha, further complicating legal proceedings, which began last week.
“We haven’t been able to confirm that Show East is bankrupt, and at this stage we’re not sure what effect this will have on the legal case,” the Daily Star quoted a spokesperson for Futabasha as saying.
But, Universal bosses are refusing to halt pre-production on Spielberg and Smith’s planned version and have given them the green light to continue work on the forthcoming movie.

He will now hold a Barbie-themed party for Princess this weekend, but he has told Jordan she is not welcome at his new home where the party will be held.
“Peter doesn’t want her anywhere near his new home and he has made that clear to her,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.
The new tit-for-tat row comes as Andre’s lawyers try to win full custody of the children, including Harvey, seven, Jordan’s son with footballer Dwight Yorke.
American actor Ashton Kutcher is said to have become the new messenger for the White House, after he took to his Twitter.com page to pass on a message.
Kutcher, 31, who is well known for his pranks, tweeted on June 28 that the White House had asked him to help get the word out about National HIV Testing Day.
“I’ve been asked by the white house to twet this,” Politico.com quoted him as having written before providing a link to a White House blog post and accompanying video noting the 14th commemoration of National HIV Testing Day.
The White House confirmed that it did, in fact, seek Kutcher’s help in promoting the blog post.
“As technology impacts how and where people are communicating online, we are constantly looking for new ways to engage with the public,” White House assistant press secretary Reid Cherlin said.
“Our efforts to promote National HIV Testing Day included participation from popular users of Twitter, as well as broad social media engagement by agencies across the government,” he added.
Kutcher was one part of the strategy: The White House has also provided online and text message resources to help people find a local testing site, launched a Twitter hashtag on the subject (#NHTD09) and set up e-cards that individuals can use to encourage others to get tested for HIV/AIDS.
